The Revd. Solveig Sonnet
Solveig came to the UK from France in 2008 as a student with little knowledge of English. Many years later, whilst training for the priesthood, she worked as a verger in Winchester and Salisbury cathedrals before enjoying a spell in our Town Church. After leaving Ripon Theological College, Oxford, she was ordained in 2022 and served in Swanage and Studland. She was delighted at her recent appointment as Vicar of St. John, which enabled her to return to Guernsey, where she has also has also taken on the role of Prison Chaplain.
